Preventative Care for Health and Longevity

Prevention is key in preserving your animal’s health. It helps detect any issue early, which allows timely treatment and prevents future complications and any associated expensive procedures.

We usually recommend a yearly wellness exam so we can check your pet or farm animal’s general health and perform any necessary screenings or medical imaging thanks to our in-house diagnostics. This is a practical opportunity to address any concern you may have about your animal’s health or behavior. During these visits, we can also check their immunization status and administer any vaccinations they are up for.

Another preventative care service we offer is animal nutritional counseling. Your companion’s diet plays a central role in their health and longevity, and our providers can help you optimize the food type and quantity your pet needs.

One-Stop Facility for Individualized Treatments in Santa Clarita, Valencia, and Newhall

In addition to caring for pets, including pocket and exotic ones, Valley Lyons Veterinary Hospital also provides specialized services for farm animals. We treat a wide range of animals including goats, pigs, chickens, and sheep. If you are unsure whether we can help your farm animal, we invite you to give us a call to discuss your situation.

Your pet’s oral health plays an active role in their general health and longevity. We provide comprehensive dental care that can involve both teeth cleanings and examinations, and customized treatments according to your animal’s needs.

While we perform routine and advanced surgeries to support your animal’s health, we also use non-invasive treatments like laser therapy, acupuncture, cryotherapy, and plasma-rich platelet treatments. Combining cutting-edge technology with a holistic approach is central to our work.

To help reduce pet overpopulation and preserve your companion’s health, we offer spay and neuter services. These safe sterilization procedures can protect your pet from various life-threatening conditions and eliminate certain behavioral concerns.
