Modern Equipment for Santa Clarita, Valencia, and Newhall Pets

Our facility includes a full in-house laboratory that can run a broad range of blood, urine, and fecal tests. These help us monitor animals’ health and check for certain infections and diseases.

We have digital x-rays equipment to get clear and accurate pictures of your pet’s body to look for various health concerns. Digital x-rays offer immediate results that make diagnostics faster and easier to establish.

In addition to these two powerful testing solutions, our team has ultrasound devices to get a detailed look at internal organs, including fluid-filled ones, and structures.

Whether your pet needs one or more types of testing, we can handle all of them at our hospital. This reduces your pet’s stress since you don’t need to go to another location for these screenings.

We can perform medical imaging and gather blood samples during wellness examinations or other appointments. Most animals do not require sedation for digital x-rays and ultrasounds.

What Conditions Can We Diagnose?

Digital x-rays are a safe and non-invasive solution to assess:

  • Fractures
  • Internal organs problems
  • Swallowed objects
  • Tumors
  • Bladder stones

An ultrasound screening allows us a more detailed view of internal organs, beyond their shape and size that we can see on an x-ray. It also detects movement like how the heart pumps blood and is useful to monitor an animal’s pregnancy. This type of medical image helps us evaluate thyroid glands, ligaments, tendons, and other soft tissues.

Animal lab works can evaluate many conditions including:

  • Anemia
  • Dehydration
  • Allergies
  • Bacterial infection
  • Urinary tract diseases
  • Diabetes
  • Kidney disease
  • Intestinal parasites

In the case of urine or fecal samples, our staff can provide information on how to effectively collect them before bringing them to our laboratory for testing.
